Al Bataeh bid farewell to the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup competition, after losing to the Al Ain team with a score of 2/1, during the match that took place between them at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain, in the second leg of the first round, and the first leg match ended for Al Ain Hospital with a score of 5/1.
Coach Radoui’s sons entered the match with a different strategy than the first leg, which made the team’s appearance change for the better and Al Ain were a real rival until the 22nd minute, which witnessed Al Ain’s first goal, but Al Ainaoui’s lead did not last more than three minutes, when Anatole was able to make an adjustment. The result was for Al-Bataeh with a strong header that hit the net of Al-Ain goalkeeper Abu Sanda, but Al-Ain returned to the lead again, scoring the second goal, and Al-Bataeh coach Mirel Radoy threw all his offensive weapons in order to equalize and create many opportunities for Abdullah Al-Naqbi and Al-Faro, but it lacked the final touch that put it into the net, so the match ended. Al Ain won 2/1.
